Phuket’s pink Pho Thong buses have gone green!

The iconic vehicles have been replaced by 24 Chinese-made electric buses at an eyewatering 5 million baht per vehicle.

President of the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation (PPAO), Rewat Areerob confirmed the old buses have since been donated to local schools, temples, mosques, and charitable organisations.

The new blue and white EV buses are now in operation across the Island:
  • Yellow Line (Saphan Hin to Central Phuket) Seven buses on timetable.
  • Green Line (Ratsada Pier to Baan Kathu School) Seven buses on timetable.
  • Red Line (Chalong Pier to SuperCheap) Ten buses on timetable.
